Web Master Richard H. "Woody " Woodward, a Western States Energy Theft Association Director Emeritus (was President for '96/'97, Vice President for '95/'96), has been employed by (Web Site) (Office Location Map) for over thirty years, more than twenty three in the Revenue Protection Department where he is the Team Lead (Supervisor). He was born and raised in Las Vegas. He is happily married and has a Daughter, Stepson, Granddaughter and an adopted Son and Daughter. He loves computers and is into adopting "retired" racing greyhounds, as well as other "endangered" or "unusual" critters.
Woody is the Director of Internet Services for, a member of, and attended the Inaugural meeting of the International Utility Revenue Protection Association (IURPA).
He has also been a member of the Western States Utility Theft Association (WSUTA, formerly WSETA) since '93, (he was elected Vice President in '95, and President in '96)
and was a member of the Rocky Mountain Energy Diversion Council (RMEDC) from 1994 until it suspended activity.
Woody loves his job and is always available to assist others in similar fields with suggestions, when asked. He usually doesn't volunteer, but when "volunteered" by someone else he does his best to "get the job done". He is, however, being stretched a little thin as of late...... (He does have work to do for his employer, you know!)
Woody worked for Pinkerton Security & Investigation Services part time for six years while working as a Field Service Investigator (theft investigator) at Nevada Power Company. He also received training from the National Law Enforcement Academy in the private investigator field in an effort to increase his knowledge, experience, and effectiveness as an investigator.
Woody has taken several courses in photography and is a lifetime member of the International Freelance Photographers Organization (IFPO). He has found all of his outside training and experience invaluable in his current position.
Woody is a member of, and Web Master for, Las Vegas United REACT (Radio Emergency Associated Communications Teams). He also is a member of the METRO MVP Program (Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Volunteer Program), a graduate of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Citizens Academy, and member of the Alumni Association. He also belongs to "Nevada Child Seekers" and is a trained member of a FEMA "CERT Team".
