General Meeting Minutes:
10/08/2001

Marjie Holland, Standing in for the Secretary

In attendance were: Mark Fenstermaker, Sarah Walker, Marjie Holland, Jennie Diller, Sharon Ruymann & Patty Haack.



• Treasurers report was read showing a begining balance of $885.01 with one deposit of $295.00 bringing the balance to $1180.01 with thank you letters sent to those individuals who have donated.
  
  
• A letter was compiled to solicit funds pledged from those members who had signed onto the Senior Squares Web Site. A mailing will be made as soon as the data base of names and addresses are completed.
  
  
• Sarah Walker read a letter she had received from Richard Lenz. Mr. Lenz is the chairman of the Friends of the Academy, established in 1993. Mr. Lenz related that he had been traveling parallel paths with our project in attempting to restore the Senior Squares. Mr. Lenz is interested in helping our cause and was intrumental in raising over one millon dollars in grants to fund the restoration project of the Huntridge Theater. Sarah will contact Mr. Lenz personally to invite him to our next meeting.
  
  
• Jennie Diller reported having been busy going through decade after decade of year books which are in safe keeping at the New LVHS. She submitted several copies of photo's of the squares from different yearbooks which will certainly be of benefit.
  
  
• The committee is anxious to attend the meeting at the Clark County School District to hear what progress has been made toward the restoration of the School. Minutes from that meeting will follow.
  
  
• Our next meeting is scheduled for the Senior Squares on Nov. 5, 2001 which is Monday.
